The short version
MatCount's calculators run entirely in your web browser. The measurements you type are used only to show your result on your own device. We do not send them to a server, and we do not store or sell them. We do not ask you to create an account.

Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as the IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running. We use aggregate, anonymous information about which pages are visited, including the search statistics Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools provide, to decide what to improve. We do not combine this with any information that identifies you.
Advertising and cookies
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Those links are marked as sponsored.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators keep working without them. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a business holds about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. MatCount itself does not collect personal information through the calculators and does not sell personal information. For requests related to advertising cookies, use the consent message or the Google links above; for anything else, email us.
Children
MatCount is a general-audience site for home and construction planning and is not directed at children under 13.
